Frequently Asked Questions.
-
Yes. In a weight-centric world, it’s natural to want to lose weight, especially when society often judges, discriminates, and places unrealistic expectations on people in larger bodies. Many of my clients come to me feeling frustrated with dieting but still wanting to feel healthier and more comfortable in their bodies.
While weight loss itself isn’t the focus of our work together, your feelings and goals are always valid. We approach health through a weight-inclusive lens, recognizing that body size alone does not cause disease and that weight bias in healthcare is real and harmful. Instead of focusing on the scale, we’ll work on behaviors that truly support your well-being, like nourishing your body consistently, improving energy and digestion, managing stress, and finding enjoyable movement.
My goal is to help you feel your best, both physically and mentally, while creating a more peaceful and trusting relationship with food and your body.
-
Absolutely. As a mom myself, I understand how much your relationship with food, your body, and your energy can change after having a baby. The postpartum period and motherhood in general come with so many physical, emotional, and lifestyle shifts that can make it hard to prioritize your own health and nourishment.
I help moms navigate these transitions with realistic guidance and support. Together, we focus on rebuilding energy, supporting hormone balance, and finding a way of eating that feels both nourishing and enjoyable. There is no pressure to “bounce back.” My goal is to help you care for yourself with compassion and confidence, so you can feel more grounded and at peace in your body through every stage of motherhood.
-
Yes. I provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) for chronic conditions such as high cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure, and digestive issues, using a non-diet, weight-inclusive approach.
Traditional nutrition advice often centers on restriction, but lasting improvements come from consistent, realistic habits that support your body’s needs without guilt or deprivation. Together, we focus on behaviors that help you feel your best, like balancing blood sugar, supporting gut health, improving energy, and finding a rhythm with meals that fits your lifestyle.
You’ll receive individualized support that considers your health goals, culture, and preferences, while emphasizing nourishment, flexibility, and body trust over perfection.

Intuitive eating is a compassionate, evidence-based approach that helps you rebuild trust with your body and heal your relationship with food. It’s not another set of rules or a “hunger-fullness diet.” Instead, it’s about tuning in to your body’s internal cues—like hunger, fullness, satisfaction, and emotional needs—while unlearning the guilt and fear that diet culture often creates around eating.

I don’t provide strict meal plans or macro tracking, because they often reinforce diet rules and disconnect you from your body’s cues. Instead, I help you learn how to build balanced meals, listen to your hunger and fullness, and nourish yourself without obsession.

Sessions are held securely through Practice Better, my client platform. You’ll also have access to messaging between sessions for quick check-ins, sharing wins, or asking questions as they come up. I want you to feel supported every step of the way.
-
Most clients meet every 1–4 weeks, depending on their goals and schedule. We’ll decide what frequency feels best for you after your first session. I also offer flexible scheduling for busy moms and working professionals.
-
Yes! I am in-network with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Shield of California, and United Healthcare in select states. Many clients pay little to nothing out-of-pocket for sessions. If your plan isn’t in-network, I provide private pay options or can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement as an out-of-network provider with your insurance.
-
That depends. If you are going through insurance, your cost is dependent on your health plan.
I also accept private pay if I am not in network with your insurance plan or if you do not have insurance benefits.
